Emily Brontë

Emily Brontë (1818-1848) was a British author born in Thornton and known for her only novel, "Wuthering Heights." She spent much of her life in Haworth, where she also wrote poetry. Brontë's work has had a lasting impact on English literature and continues to be celebrated for its innovative narrative style and complex characters.
