Ivan Turgenev

Ivan Turgenev (1818-1883) was a prominent Russian author born in Oryol and known for his influential works in the 19th century. He is celebrated for his novels and plays that explore themes of love, society, and the human condition. Turgenev spent his later years in Bougival, France, where he continued to write until his death.
