Nikolay Gogol

Nikolay Gogol (1809-1852) was a prominent Russian author born in Velyki Sorochyntsi. He is best known for his influential works that explore themes of identity, society, and the absurd. Gogol spent his later years in Moscow, where he produced some of his most significant writings.
